ER24 Judging At St Johns National Cadet Competition

ER24 from Pietermaritzburg branch were asked to judge at the St john National Cadet Competition that was being held in Durban over the weekend.

The St John’s cadets were from all over South Africa and consisted of four people per team.

They were given a scenario, which the team are on duty at a school fete when they are called to a classroom that had exploded. When they arrive they find two students with chemical and thermal burns. The judging is done on how they treat the patient and how quickly they are able to activate by calling the ER24 contact number and for ALS.

A great day was had by all and the competition was a great success.

It’s great to know that by working together, we are able to train the youth to become great paramedics in the future.
